UG Forward Accomplishments

Strengthened our communities’ public safety and increased the size of our police department by adding two full-time police officers and creating the Township’s first K9 unit.

Partnered with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission to convert all Township streetlights to LED in order to achieve energy efficiencies and save taxpayer dollars.

Invested in the long-term success of a major Township asset by improving the flow design of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and making changes to it’s organizational management structure.

Secured grant funding for major water quality and flooding projects; Dickerson Road and the Haines Run Streambank Restoration Project, and funding to build a new bridge on Sumneytown Pike.

Allocated funding to maintain existing open space areas in the Township, beginning with the Jack’s Lane Project.
